Abstract

Background: the following study reports the findings on the quantification of neutralizing antibodies (AcN) against COVID-19 in the Hospital of the Caja Petrolera de Salud of the city of La Paz, Bolivia.
Methods: this study corresponds to a descriptive cross-sectional study, in a population of 45 people previously vaccinated against COVID-19. Out of these 45 people, 4 were vaccinated with the Sputnik V® vaccine and 41 with the Sinopharm® vaccine.
Results: 60% had an average level of neutralizing antibodies (between 43% and 71%) with the Sinopharm® vaccine and 100% an average level of neutralizing antibodies with Sputnik V® vaccine.
Conclusion: on average the results are much lower than expected, based on previous reviewed studies, however, we seek to assess the impact of vaccines in the environment as a predictive method against a previously vaccinated population that faces a new wave of COVID-19 caused by new variants of SARS-CoV 2.
