Chemical Esophagitis Secondary to Chlorine Dioxide Consumption in COVID-19 Patient: Evaluation by Gastroesophageal Gammagraphy
Main Article Content
Abstract
SARS-CoV-2 infections in the world remain frequent. Chlorine dioxide is not useful in SARS-CoV-2 infection in any context, since there is no scientific evidence to support its use or derivatives as preventive or therapeutic agents against COVID-19. The complications derived from its ingestion are frequent and potentially fatal. We present a case of a COVID-19 patient with chemical esophagitis after the ingestion of chlorine dioxide evaluated by gastroesophageal grammagraphy.
