Diffuse Cystic Lung Disease. A case report
Main Article Content
Abstract
Lung cysts consist of thin walled, less than 2 millimeters thickness, hyperlucent round lesions with a clear distinction from the surrounding lung parenchyma. Diffuse cystic lung diseases (DCLDs) are classified as multicystic, in the presence of at least ten cysts, and paucicystic if five to nine cysts. The described tomographic pattern is mainly related with lymphoid interstitial pneumonia, lymphangioleiomiomatosis, pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis and Birt-Hogg-Dubé Syndrome.
